Excursion to Ayodhya from Lucknow

Ayodhya is 3 hours' drive east from Lucknow, on the banks of the river Sarayu. Archaeological evidence and literary sources suggest that the area was an urban trade centre as early as 6th century BC.

Ayodhya is the legendary birthplace of Lord Rama. It is sacred to Jains and Buddhists also. It is the birthplace of five Jain tirthankaras, and many auspicious events (kalyanaka) of tirthankaras have taken place here. Gautama Buddha and Mahavira have spent time in Ayodhya.

In this tour, we will visit the newly constructed Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, as well as two of the revered sites associated with Lord Ram (Guptar Ghat and Hanuman Garhi).

This is a private tour and we are happy to customize it. Let us know if you want to visit the Rishabhdev Jain temple. If you have any mobility constraints or other preferences, please let us know.

INR 16000 using a small car (can take 2 adults + guide + driver)
INR 19800 using Toyota Innova (can take 3 adults + guide + driver comfortably. An additional 2 people can be seated in the last row if you don’t mind the poor legroom)
INR 26000 using Tempo Traveller (can take 6 adults + guide + driver)
